KOZUS Aluminum Extrusion for 5/8″ Drywall Mount – 1″ Wide

Description

The KOZUS extrusion from KLUS is designed for creating custom LED Strip Light fixtures that mount directly into 5/8″ drywall and then spackled over for a clean and modern look. Using an LED strip light with at least 3 LEDs per 1 inch you can create line of light fixtures with no visible hot spots (extra frosted cover only). This aluminum channel is intended to be mounted into drywall slots using construction grade drywall adhesive. Before installing the extrusion be sure to have your aluminum profile pre-wired with your LED strip light. Wire can be drilled directly through the back of the extrusion or by creating a small hole in the plastic end cap. After the glue dries, cover aluminum wings thinly with a suitable adhesive, put the drywall mesh on, then spackle over the drywall mesh while not affecting the base edge of the profile. Finally, apply paint over the base edge of the extrusion. A variety of cover options including flat and shaped diffusers make for a number of different types of lighting fixtures.
