A long front porch overhang is illuminated using our Ribbon Star Ultra Waterproof Warm White Light Strips. Unlike traditional wall mounted fixtures the LED strip can run the entire length of the porch, evenly lighting the seating and ground below. The strip light power requires 24 Volt DC power. In order to power the strip a power supply is required to change the 120VAC wall power to 24VDC. This is being done by our Mean Well 24VDC Waterproof Power Supply. The 240W has plenty of power and enough to drive all the strip lights with enough capacity to add to the circuit in the future. With a 24VDC power rating this Strip Light is the brightest waterproof strip light that we sell. The silicon coating gives Ribbon Star Ultra an IP65 outdoor rating. Making it waterproof (non-submersible), dust and UV proof. Ribbon Star Ultra Waterproof provides a perfect light source for any indoor, outdoor, damp or wet area lighting projects. The Strip Light can be cut every 0.8 inches and can be connected in series up to 20ft (6m) with no noticeable voltage drop. 8 SMD LEDs per 0.8 inches with a total of 1200 LEDs per 3m. At 4.9W per foot, a 3m roll would require at least a 49W, 24VDC power supply. This LED strip light is perfect for any outdoor or indoor lighting project. This product is a Mean Well brand waterproof LED power converter with a 100-240VAC, or 277VAC (North America Only) input and a 24VDC 10 amp output of 240W. IP67 rated for wet or damp locations. This LED power supply can be used to power 24VDC Constant Voltage LED Wall Washers, LED Lights, LED Light Ribbons, RGB LED lighting and other 24VDC LED Lighting products. Comes with built in PFC (Power Factor Correction) as well as short circuit protection. AC input wire colors are as follow: Brown - Load, Blue - Neutral, Green - Ground. The manufacturer recommends a 92.5% max load of 222 watts. Non-submersible, non uv-proof, UL recognized, RoHS, and CE approved.
